Avui parlaré d’una pel·lícula petita i senzilla: Before sunrise. Una pel·lícula que enamora per la relació que mantenen els protagonistes i per la màgia que transmet la situació. Jesse (Ethan Hawke) i Celine (Julie Delpy) es coneixen a un tren mentre viatgen per Europa. Comencen a parlar però just el tren arriba a Viena, Jesse ha de quedar-se a aquesta ciutat perquè el dia següent agafa un avió i li demana a Celine que es quedi amb ell i així poder seguir parlant. Celine accedeix, el dia l’endemà reprendrà el seu viatge cap a França.- I think this is Vienna.
- Yeah.
- You get off here, no?
- Yeah, what a drag. I wish I’d met you earlier. I really like talking to you.
- Yeah, me too. It was really nice to meet you.
- I have an admittedly insane idea, but if I don’t ask you this, it’s just... it’s gonna haunt me the rest of my life.
- What?
- I want to keep talking to you. I have no idea what your situation is but I feel like we have some king of connection. Right?
- Yeah, me too.
- Great. Listen, here’s the deal. This is what we should do. Get off with me here in Vienna and come check out the town.
- What?
- Come on. It’ll be fun. Come on.
- What would we do?
- I don’t know. All I know is I have to catch an Austrian Airlines flight tomorrow morning at 9:30. I don’t have the money for a hotel. So I was just going to walk around, and it’d be more fun if you came with me. Is I turn out to be some kind of pshyco, you just get on the next train. Al right, think of it like this. Jump ahead 10, 20 years, okay? And you’re married. Only your marriage doesn’t have that same energy that it used to have. You start to blame your husband. You think about those guys you’ve met in your life and what might’ve happened if you’d picked up with one of them. Well, I’m one of those guys. That’s me. So think of this as time travel from then to now to find out what you’re missing out on. See, what this really could be is a gigantic favor to you and your future husband to find out that you’re not missing out anything. I’m just as big a loser as he is, totally unmotivated, boring. And you made the right choice, and you’re happy.

Els dos personatges es dediquen a gaudir de la nit al màxim i no preocupar-se pel dia següent, per quan els dos marxin cap a direccions diferents. No obstant, arriba l’hora de marxar, es posen nerviosos i res és com ho havien planejat. Al final decideixen retrobar-se a la mateixa estació al cap de sis mesos. Es trobaran?
Before sunrise és un clar exemple de com fer una gran pel·lícula sense necessitat d’artificis, comptant només amb dos personatges aconsegueix endinsar-nos en el seu univers i en una situació que tots desitjaríem viure en algun moment. S’allunya de les típiques comèdies romàntiques de Hollywood, Jesse i Celine es passen parlant els 97 minuts de la pel·lícula; apareixen personatges que donen joc a la trama però que són secundaris i la seva presència és momentània.

Hola Mile, aquí estoy después de mucho para comentarte. Me he puesto al día de tus actualizaciones. En cuanto a esta película tengo que decir que tengo opiniones muy contrarias conmigo mismo, me gustaron unas cosas, pero no me gustaron otras muchas cosas. Creo que la propia película sabe eso e intenta negar las cosas malas reconociéndolas ella misma para así pasar a convertirse en una cosa guay, no sé, creo que aun no sé si me gustó, o es un gran pastel. Ya te diré otro día. Un beso.
